Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art, small volume, high definition cone-beam CT (computed tomography) technology that provides a digital 3D rendering of the patient’s area of interest. A traditional x-ray is only two dimensional. With CBCT technology, Dr. Amoroso is able to obtain a full 360 degree, three dimensional view of the tooth and surrounding areas for a more thorough and precise diagnosis and treatment.
CBCT technology provides nearly limitless views of the teeth while using less radiation than traditional medical CT technology. This new imaging modality is fast, simple and convenient, providing benefits that were unavailable only a few years ago.
